HOUSTON, Texas -- Austin Graham and Ramie Sprinkling each shot par 72's in the second round of the Rice Intercollegiate on Monday afternoon, leading four players on the UC Davis men's golf team that shot 74 or better over the second 18 holes at the Westwood Golf Club.
Two golfers remained on the course when play was suspended by darkness on Monday evening preventing complete second-round team and individual scores from being posted. However, behind Graham and Sprinkling - and 2-over cards from Matt Marshall and Phil Huffman - the Aggies shot a team score of 292. Their two-round total of 591 should put them no lower than third heading into Tuesday's final round.
UC Davis opened the day by shooting 11-over 299, tying for fourth with the host Owls. Sprinkling, who had a 73 in the morning round, was tied for ninth after 18 holes, Nate Pistacchio carded a 74 and tied for 15th, and Matt Marshall shot a 75, tying for 18th. Graham had a 77 while Huffman shot 78,

Colton Williams of Baylor and Brad Benjamin of Memphis are each at 144 for the top scores of players that have finished. Louisiana Tech's Amrith de Soysa is 1 under with a hole to play.
