DAVIS, Calif. - Breanna Salley posted a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds, leading four Seattle University players in double figures, as the Redhawks used a key 17-0 run in the second half to down UC Davis 65-59 in a nonconference women's basketball game played at The Pavilion on Tuesday night.

UC Davis, which dressed just eight players for the second consecutive game, lost its fifth straight game and is 4-7 heading into the beginning of Big West Conference play this weekend against Cal State Northridge. The Redhawks evened their season's record at 6-6.

Three freshmen scored in double figures to lead the Aggies, led by 14 from redshirt freshman Lauren Juric who also had seven rebounds. Guard Hana Asano hit a trio of three-pointers and finished with 13 points while Kasey Riecks had 12 points.

Chelsie Morrison canned four three-pointers - including three straight during the Redhawks' second-half rally - and tallied 14 points. Guards Elle Kerfoot and Cassidy Murillo each had 13 points while Murillo tallying six assists.

UC Davis led by as many as six points and went down by as many as five during the first half before heading into intermission trailing just 27-26. Genevieve Costello's layup less than three minutes into the game put the Aggies in front 8-2 but an 8-2 run of its own helped Seattle tie the score at 10-10. Juric's layup with 3:47 left capped a 10-5 Aggie surge, knotting the score 22-22.

UC Davis twice enjoyed four-point leads in the second half, the last time coming at 39-35 with 12:03 remaining. However, Murrillo's trey started a 17-0 Seattle run over a three-minute span which also included three straight three-pointers from Morrison that gave the Redhawks a 52-39 lead. They led by as many as 13 points before UC Davis was able to climb within six points in the final minute.

The Aggies did a good job in turnovers, committing just 13. However, they shot just 38.1 percent from the field, including 25 percent (7 of 28) from three-point territory. Seattle was 11 of 28 from three-point, shooting 38.5 percent overall.

Junior Haley Donaghe missed her third consecutive game while post Lisa Peterson also sat out with injury. Freshman Vicky Deely has been sidelined since early in the season.

UC Davis will open Big West Conference action on Sunday at 2 p.m. against the Matadors. The Aggies will then return to the road at UC Riverside and Long Beach State.
