HAMDEN, Conn. - Sophomore midfielder Katy Delagi scored four goals with an assist to lead Quinnipiac to a 9-7 win over UC Davis in a non-conference women's collegiate lacrosse game Monday. Junior Megan O'Connor led the Aggies with a hat trick. The Bobcats scored five unanswered goals in the second half to overcome a 4-2 halftime deficit.

UC Davis evens its overall record at 7-7. Quinnipiac improves to 8-5 for the year, having won seven of its last eight.

The Aggies took an early lead as O'Connor converted an assist from freshman Patrice Clark in the seventh minute, then junior Katie McMahon scored her lone goal about four minutes later. O'Connor connected on her second goal with 3:55 remaining in the first half to send her team into the break with a two-goal edge.

Delagi opened the second half with an assist to senior Jennifer Larson at the 38:20 mark, then scored the unassisted equalizer just 24 seconds later. Midfielder Melissa Jordan hit the go-ahead goal at 39:55, then Lauren Eagan scored back-to-back to complete the Bobcats' run of five unanswered goals.

After Delagi completed her hat trick with 8:51 left to push Quinnipiac ahead by an 8-5 margin, UC Davis fought back to within one goal with scores by sophomore Katie McGovern and another by O'Connor at 53:04 and 54:04, respectively. QU midfielder Kara Cornelius and, after three straight Aggie fouls inside the eight, Delagi converted a free-position goal to send the Bobcats up by two. The Aggies committed three turnovers and managed just one shot in the final three minutes.

Quinnipiac held a 30-22 margin in shots, including 17-8 after the halftime break. Aggie goalkeeper Hilary Harkins collected 10 saves against nine goals against.

UC Davis returns home to host California in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation action Saturday as part of the university's Picnic Day festivities.
