Final Stats

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Junior Katie McMahon scored a game-high six goals while Megan O'Connor added three more to lead UC Davis to a 14-10 win over Siena College in non-conference women's collegiate lacrosse action at Siena Field Saturday.

The Aggies improve to 7-6 for the season. The Saints drop to 2-12 overall.

McMahon scored back-to-back goals in the 17th and 18th minutes of the game to help UC Davis pull away from a close 4-3 battle. She had scored a goal and an assist in the opening minutes as part of a 3-0 Aggie start, but Siena freshman Lindsey Rosecrans scored two goals within a span of 13 seconds to help the Saints close the gap.

O'Connor assisted on a goal by Alannah Taylor with 11 seconds remaining in the first half to give UC Davis an 8-4 edge at the break. Then O'Connor converted a free-position attempt in the opening minutes to vault the Aggies to a five-goal lead, their widest margin of the contest. The junior midfielder also posted six draw controls and eight ground balls in the game.

UC Davis freshman Patrice Clark had two assists and a goal. Katie McGovern, Alden Monger and Lindsay Messina also added goals for the Aggie. Goalkeeper Hilary Harkins posted 14 saves in the UC Davis crease.

Siena actually finished with favorable numbers in shot attempts (29-27), ground balls (52-45) and turnovers (17-24). Sophomore Lauren Ritchie had two goals to match Rosecrans' team-high total. Sophomore attacker Lynn Harkins (no relation to Hilary) led the Saints with two assists.

The Aggies complete their second East Coast road trip with a game at Quinnipiac Monday.
