IRVINE, Calif. - The Aggies concluded this weekend's Southern California Tournament with a 12th place finish out of sixteen teams. UC Davis fell to Navy 8-5 in the 11th place match and also dropped an earlier game to Pacific, 9-7. Patrick Jacobson, David Welch, Kevin Bacharach, and Trevor Long scored goals in both of today's games.

The Aggies first game of the day was against Pacific who they lost to last weekend, 11-7. UC Davis took the early lead in the first quarter, outscoring the Tigers 3-2. Pacific was able to tie the game up at 4-4 leading into halftime. The teams continued to match goals and the tie remained at the end of the third. Pacific finally broke away in the fourth quarter scoring three goals to the Aggies' one. The final score was 9-7 in favor of Pacific.

The second and final game of the day pitted UC Davis against Navy. Navy took the early lead and held a one-point lead at half. Matt Maclachlan was able to tie the game at 3-3 with 5:20 left in the third quarter. Maclachlan's goal was the only Aggie point scored in the third as Navy went on to score three goals. Each team scored two goals apiece in the fourth, but it was not enough to make up for the Aggies' third quarter deficit. Navy took 11th place with the 8-5 win.

UC Davis' season record falls to 4-6. The Aggies will head to Santa Cruz next weekend to play in the Slugfest hosted by UC Santa Cruz.
