DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis sophomore attacker Katie McMahon was selected as the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation women's lacrosse player of the week for March 21-27, it was announced by that organization Monday evening.

McMahon scored 15 goals and recorded four assists in three games during that span, leading the Aggies in scoring in each contest. Her best output came against Howard University on March 26, when she scored a season-best eight goals with two assists. McMahon's 10 total points also tied her own school record, set late last season.

A graduate of Foothill High School in Pleasanton, Calif., McMahon currently leads the MPSF in goals (30) and total points (34). This is her fourth career MPSF Player of the Week award and the first of the 2005 season.
