Kado's Hat Trick Helps Aggies Overcome Slow Start

April 12, 2003

Junior attack Leslie Kado scored three goals and posted a pair of assists to lead UC Davis to a 10-5 win over Millersville University in a women's collegiate lacrosse game Saturday. The Aggies exploded for eight second-half goals after leading just 2-1 at the halftime break.

UC Davis, ranked No. 1 in both the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Assocation and Warrior/Inside Lacrosse polls, improve to 8-4 overall and 5-1 against the NCAA Division II South Region. The Marauders, who fell out of the IWLCA rankings this week, drop to 3-4 on the year.

Naomi Coffman contributed two goals and two assists for the Aggies while Jessie Donohoue tabulated two goals, an assist and a season-high nine ground balls. Tiffany Lee, Kate Hanson and Jaime Fitzpatrick also scored a goal for UC Davis. Goalkeeper Kristen Braasch recorded 9 saves in net.

The Aggies complete their three-game road trip with a contest against Indiana University of Pennsylvania, to be played at West Chester.
