ALL-BIG WEST FIRST TEAM DOUBLES… Competed in 17 singles matches, earning a win at No. 2 and No. 4, and another three at No. 3 — his primary spot in the Aggies’ lineup with 10 matches played at that position… Won eight of 16 doubles matches played throughout the season, a total that includes eight of 15 played at No. 1 alongside Ivan Thamma… Also played one doubles match at No. 2 with Dariush Jalali… Won three of four singles matches when UC Davis visited Point Loma (3/6), UC San Diego (3/7) and hosted New Mexico State (3/13) at the Golden State Invite… Also earned consecutive singles victories against Hawai’i (4/10) and at Sacramento State (4/16)… He and Thamma won three straight doubles matches when they swept the team’s San Diego road trip: at San Diego State (3/5), at Point Loma (3/6) and at UC San Diego (3/7)… Won their last two doubles matchups of the season at UC Riverside (4/23) and at the Big West Men’s Tennis Championship vs. Hawai’i (4/30)… Would have been another three-match doubles win streak if the round did not end with them leading 5-2, when the team point was officially clinched… The team did not participate in any fall events due to COVID-19.
2019-20: ITA SCHOLAR-ATHLETE… ITA ALL-AMERICAN DOUBLES QUALIFIER… ITA ALL-AMERICAN SINGLES PREQUALIFIER… PRESEASON ITA DOUBLES NATIONALLY RANKED… Posted a 12-7 overall, 7-4 dual singles record… Competed primarily at No. 2 singles throughout the dual season, with one appearance at No. 1… Won six of last eight dual matches… Defeated UTSA and UT Arlington opponents in straight sets... In the fall, defeated UC Santa Barbara’s Joseph Rotheram in three sets at the Kramer Classic… Made the ITA All-American Pre-Qualifying singles draw, but withdrew… Currently No. 6 in the record book with 55 career singles wins, and tied at eighth with 28 dual singles wins… Continued standout doubles play with a 12-6 overall, 6-3 dual record… Competed primarily at No. 1 with Ivan Thamma, but played one match at No. 2 with Daniel Landa… Set the Division I program record for career doubles wins (80) with the win alongside Landa, and is No. 2 with 47 dual match wins… Earned a preseason national ranking of No. 43 — highest in program history… Became the first doubles team to qualify for the ITA All-American Championships in UC Davis Division I history, falling to Texas A&M’s Hady Habib and Pranav Kumar in three sets in Qualifying… Earned UC Davis’ first No. 1 seed at the ITA Northwest Regional alongside partner Thamma… Won the Krammer Classic tournament with Ivan Thamma for the second consecutive year, defeating teammates Dariush Jalali and Chethan Swanson in the quarterfinal… Remainder of the spring dual season was canceled on Mar. 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

BIG WEST SECOND TEAM SINGLES… BIG WEST FIRST TEAM DOUBLES… ORACLE/ITA DOUBLES NATIONALLY RANKED… ITA SCHOLAR-ATHLETE… ITA ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM… BIG WEST ALL-ACADEMIC… UC DAVIS TEAM CAPTAIN… Split time at the No. 1 and No. 2 singles positions throughout the dual season to end his junior year with a 15-21 overall, and 8-11 dual record… Posted a 3-6 record at the top of the lineup, and 5-5 at No. 2 with three matches going unfinished… Won four consecutive singles dual matches in January to start the season with a 4-1 record… Posted a three-set win over Gonzaga’s Sam Feit at No. 1 singles to help lift the Aggies in a 4-3 victory over the Bulldogs… In doubles, led the team with a 26-10 overall, and 14-6 dual record… Partnered with Ivan Thamma to win 21-5 overall, and 12-4 dual matches… Played every doubles match at the No. 1 position… In the fall, claimed doubles titles at the St. Mary’s Fall Invite and at the prestigious Jack Kramer Classic, and advanced to the Round of 16 at the ITA Northwest Regional… Won nine of the first ten dual matches to start the season… Recorded victories over No. 5 USC’s Brandon Holt and Logan Smith to lead Aggies to the doubles point against the Trojans for the first time in program history, as well as No. 6 Stanford’s Axel Geller and Alexandre Rotsaert… Pair of Pac-12 wins boosted the duo to UC Davis’ first ITA national doubles ranking since 2011, debuting at No. 78 on Apr. 2… Reached career-high ranking of No. 66 (Apr. 16), and finished the year ranked No. 4 in the ITA Northwest Region.
2017-18: BIG WEST SECOND TEAM SINGLES… BIG WEST SECOND TEAM DOUBLES… Went 14-22 overall, 7-19 in duals, and 2-3 in Big West play in singles… Played in the top three positions of the lineup, but primarily at No. 2… Saw his best singles record of 4-1 playing at the No. 3 position… Won five consecutive matches in the fall between the Aggie Invitational and the ITA Northwest Regional… Advanced to the round of 32 at the ITA with wins over Fresno State and Gonzaga... In doubles, finished 16-16 overall, and 13-13 in duals, playing mainly at the No. 2 spot… Posted the second highest number of dual doubles wins on the team with partner Tommy Lam at 13.
2016-17: BIG WEST CONFERENCE FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR... BIG WEST CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM DOUBLES... Became the first UC Davis men's tennis player to be named the Big West's freshman of the year... Finished the season ranked No. 8 in the ITA Northwest Regional rankings in doubles alongside teammate Tommy Lam... Ended the year with a 14-8 overall singles record and a 6-4 mark in dual matches between the No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6, spots in the lineup... Posted his best record with a 4-1 record at the No. 6 position... Led the team with 26 overall wins and tied for the top spot with 14 wins in doubles duals... Competed at all three spots in the Aggies' doubles lineup, finishing 7-4 at the No. 1 spot and 6-1 at No. 2... Teamed with Tommy Lam to finish 19-7 overall in doubles and 13-5 in duals... The tandem won 12 of their final 13 doubles contests together, with two more going unfinished during that stretch... Also reached the doubles consolation quarterfinals of the Pacific Coast Men's Doubles Championships in La Jolla, Calif., alongside Eli Whittle... In singles, won five straight at one point in the year and won four consecutive duals in March... During the fall, reached the finals of his doubles flight with Lam at the Aggie Invitational and went unbeated in his doubles flight with Everett Maltby at the UCSB Invitational... Joined Lam once again to reach the semifinals of the doubles main draw at the ITA Northwest Regionals in Berkeley, Calif.
OAK PARK HS '16:Â Four-year varsity letter winner... Earned all-area honors in singles as a freshman and in doubles as a senior... Coastal Canyon League MVP in doubles as a senior... Three-time all-county first-team selection... Helped the Eagles to a pair of league titles as a junior and senior... All-Tri Valley League selection as a freshman and sophomore, advancing to the semifinals of the league championships in 2014... A five-star recruit by the website TennisRecruiting.net, Goulak was ranked No. 40 in the nation and No. 12 in the state of California (as of Aug. 17)... Won the "Bronze Ball," finishing third, in doubles at the 2015 USTA Winter National Championships in Arizona.
