2021: ITA SCHOLAR-ATHLETE... BIG WEST CONFERENCE ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM... Won a team-high seven singles matches… Earned a victory in one of three singles matches at No. 4, four of nine at No. 5 and two of seven at No. 6… Collected three doubles victories at No. 3; two took place with Dariush Jalali, the other was earned alongside Chethan Swanson… Enjoyed a four-match singles win streak with consecutive results against Nevada (2/25), and all all three stops throughout the Aggies’ San Diego road trip at SDSU (3/5), Point Loma (3/6 and UC San Diego (3/7)… Each one of those victories were earned in straight sets… Also won back-to-back singles matchups at Sacramento State (4/16) and at UC Riverside (4/23)… Picked up a doubles with with Jalali vs. San Francisco (2/20) and against Nevada to sweep that day’s matches… The team did not participate in any fall events due to COVID-19.
2019-20: ITA SCHOLAR-ATHLETE… UC DAVIS LIBRARY STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE MONTH (Feb.)… Compiled a 14-10 overall, 8-3 dual singles record, playing between Nos. 4-6… Tied for most dual wins on the team… Finished junior year with a perfect 4-0 record at No. 6, moving to No. 2 all-time in the Division I era with 14 career wins… Also moved to fifth at No. 5 singles after adding three wins this season… Defeated Santa Clara’s Santiago Hinojosa in straight sets to clinch the victory over the Broncos for just the third time since 1996… Had an outstanding fall season in doubles play, with two appearances in dual matches… Finished with an 11-4 overall, 1-1 dual record… Teamed with Andrei Volgin to go 9-2 in the fall, winning the doubles title at the Aggie Invitational B Flight… Reached the final of the Pacific Invitational alongside Volgin, and won three of the four matches at the Husky Classic… Partnered with Andras Necz against Sonoma State, winning 6-0 during the dual season… Remainder of the spring dual season was canceled on Mar. 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2018-19: ITA ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM… BIG WEST ALL-ACADEMIC… Led the team with 17 overall and 12 dual singles wins in best year so far as an Aggie… Compiled best record at No. 6 singles, finishing 9-1 in the spring… Clinched the overall match for UC Davis three times, with two being decisive 4-3 victories over New Mexico State and Gonzaga… Went 4-0 in three set matches during the dual portion of the season… Won six of last ten matches of the season, with three being left unfinished… Won eight consecutive matches when playing at No. 6 singles… Was the only Aggie to win a singles set against Cal Poly during the regular season… Played doubles only in the fall tournaments, mostly with partner Dariush Jalali… Duo finished 3-5 together with wins over Pacific, Holy Names, and Santa Clara.
2017-18: Concluded his UC Davis debut season with a 14-12 overall and 9-3 tournament singles record… Posted his best singles record of 3-3 playing at the No. 5 position… Had back-to-back dual season wins over Hawai'i and Brown… Recorded the lone point for the Aggies in the matchup against Brown…  Collected a total of nine singles wins during the tournament season: three wins from the Aggie Invitational, four from the ITA Northwest Regionals, and two from the Pacific Tiger Invitational… Advanced to the singles consolation final at the ITA Northwest Regional after defeating a Stanford player in the quarterfinal... Went 6-13 overall in doubles play… Played with Chethan Swanson and Mitchell Iwahiro, all at the No. 3 position.
GRANITE BAY HS ’17: Recorded three singles and three doubles wins at the USTA Boys’ 16 National Championships in 2015… Highest national ranking of #94 in 2016 according to TennisRecruiting.net... Captain of the Granite Bay HS tennis team.
PERSONAL: Born in Los Angeles, Calif… Majoring in Psychology, and plans to attend medical school… Parents are Jay and Sudha... Has two siblings, an older sister Tanvi, and a younger brother Saahith... Tanvi graduated from Stanford in 2016, and is currently enrolled in Stanford's medical school program... Most people don't know he is trained to play Indian classical music on the sitar... Career sports highlight is being ranked in the top-100 in the nation in the juniors... Favorite movie is Shawshank Redemption... Roger Federer is his sports hero, and J.K. Rowling is his non-sports hero... Favorite hobbies include playing spikeball, watching cooking shows/videos, and getting boba... Climbing Mt. Fuji, deep sea diving, and attending all four Grand Slam tennis tournaments are at the top of his bucket list... Chose UC Davis Athletics because walking around such a nature-centered campus gives him joy, and to be able to compete at a high level with great teammates and coaches is something he's always wanted.
