Biography

2022-23: BIG WEST HONOR ROLL... BIG WEST CONFERENCE ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM… BIG WEST SECOND TEAM DOUBLES… Specialized in doubles and only played in three singles matches, finishing with a 2-1 record… His two wins came in straight sets… Played most of the season with Lucas Bollinger as his partner… That duo completed the season with a team leading record of 9-3 and a 3-1 conference record… They also had a five match winning streak from Apr. 6 - Apr. 28… Defeated #32 UC Santa Barbara duo of Gianluca Brunkow and Lucca Liu to help contribute in the Aggies’ upset win.

2021-22: Posted a 5-6 singles mark in the spring and went 7-6 in doubles… Won the first four of his five singles matches in the spring… Played primarily at the No. 6 court… Posted a perfect 2-0 record at No. 1 doubles… Teamed mostly with Mitchell Davis at No. 3 doubles… All five of his singles victories came in straight sets.

2021: ITA SCHOLAR-ATHLETE... Competed in two doubles matches during his inaugural season at UC Davis… Andras Necz was his partner at No. 3 when the Aggies hosted Cal Poly (4/9), he played at No. 2 alongside Mitchell Davis when the Aggies traveled to Sacramento State (4/16)… The team did not participate in any fall events due to COVID-19.

DENVER (2019-20): Member of Denver men’s tennis for the 2019-20 season before transferring to UC Davis… Named to the Dean’s List.

ALBUQUERQUE ACADEMY ’19: Led his team to a 51-0 combined record, four state and four APS Metro championships… Won four individual state (doubles) and APS Metro individual championships.

PERSONAL: Competed for USTA Albuquerque from 2012-19… Northern New Mexico USTA Male Junior Player of the Year my from 2017-19… Ranked No. 1in the USTA Southwest Section Boys 18’s… Most people do not know how competitive he is… Brandon Nakashima is the best athlete he competed against… Broken Sound Tennis Center (Boca Raton, Fla.) is his favorite facility that hosted one of his matches… Career sports highlight is winning state championships in doubles with his twin brother… Novak Djokovic is his favorite sports hero… Career plans include medical school and a career in medicine… Chose UC Davis because it is an excellent school that has a successful tennis program, which will allow him to pursue his passions… Coach Steidlmayer inspired him, he respects and appreciates he and his team’s priorities and what they stand for… Feels UC Davis will become an amazing place for him.
