2010: THIRD TEAM ARTHUR ASHE JR. SPORTS SCHOLAR AWARD WINNER... Appeared in 36 games and started six games as a junior... Mainly served as a pinch hitter, tallying eight hits and three RBI... Finished with a .222 batting average, .278 slugging percentage and .317 on base percentage... Tallied 30 put outs in the field, playing third base and in the outfield... Had two hits and a double vs. Santa Clara (3/11).

2009: BIG WEST CONFERENCE ALL-ACADEMIC...Appeared in 37 games and started 17...Batted .225 (16-for-71) with one homer and 3 RBIs...Of her 17 starts, 12 came as a DP with the remaining 5 in the outfield...Had a four-game hitting streak from April 10 through April 18 in which she batted 5-for-10 (.500) with 2 RBIs...Lone homer of the year came at UC Riverside (4/18) in the first game of a doubleheader...Other RBIs (one each) came against Fresno State (3/24) and Cal State Fullerton (4/10)...Batted .265 in Big West games.

2008: Appeared in 33 games and started 13...Batted .143 (6-for-42), tallying three extra-base hits for .310 slugging average... Had all of her hits in a five-game stretch in April, going 6-for-14 in series against Pacific and Cal State Fullerton (4/5 to 4/12)... First collegiate homer came in 2nd inning vs. Pacific (4/5).

NORTH HS [apos]07: Named team MVP in softball, volleyball and basketball... Earned All-Central Section and All-Southwest Yosemite League honors as a senior... Batted .491 with 35 RBIs and 39 runs in 35 games that year... Hit .439 with 34 runs and 30 RBIs as a junior, helping team capture section championship... Also earned All-SWL honors in basketball, averaging 16.1 ppg with 120 steals in 2006-07... Graduated among top 10 percent of her class... California Scholastic Federation Lifetime Member.

PERSONAL: Born in Bakersfield, Calif.... Majoring in art studio... Parents are Sergio and Esther Castillo... Says few people know she[apos]s a twin... Career highlight entering UC Davis was hitting three homers during Firecrackers tournament in Colorado.
