PRIOR TO UC DAVIS

Named to the Swedish National Team U18 2024 European Championships...Finished 2nd in the Swedish U17 Championship with the Norrköping Dolphins in 2023, finished 3rd in 2024...While playing for the Norrköping Dolphins, she competed in Stage Two of the European Youth Basketball League, where she was named MVP of the team.

PERSONAL

Parents are Mattias and Kirsi Ersdala, has one little sister, Lilly, and a twin sister Minna, who is currently in college at Morehead State...Mom is Finnish, making her and her siblings half Finnish and half Swedish, she and her siblings would often spend summers in Finland when she was growing up...Likes to watch and play many different sports, including golf, soccer and swimming...Enjoys spending time with family and reading...A hidden talent is that she can solve a Rubik's Cube in under 30 seconds...Worked at a children's summer camp while working at a farm for two summers where she chopped wood, painted and took care of the garden...Received offers from schools such as Cleveland State, USF, UPenn, Furman, Yale, and American University...Ultimately chose UC Davis because of the relationships, "I really liked all the coaches and players I talked to. I felt like I could be myself here and that all the coaches cared about me as a person and were interested in me outside of just basketball. Everyone is very nice and it was the place I could see myself having the most fun at and feel most comfortable. I’m hoping Davis will feel like a home away from home." the style of play, "I like the offensive and defensive philosophies, I like that we play fast and share the ball a lot, the team is not selfish but wants to play for each other and I could see myself fitting in the style of play which also was important," and the environment "The city is cozy and I feel like there are some things to do and explore. The facilities were nice and places like the weight rooms and recovery possibilities made me feel like this will be a place where I can develop. Plus, there is an IKEA pretty close."
