Named to the 2023 All-MAAC Second Team... Received an Honorable Mention for MAAC Female Student-Athlete of the Year in 2024... Recognized as Manhattan College’s Female Athlete of the Year in 2024 ... Named All- Tournament Team at the Bash at the Beach and Penn Invitational's All-Tournament Team in 2024...Appeared in 26 matches for the Jaspers in 2023...Led the team in both total kills (291) and kills per set (3.73)...Also had 21 service aces, ranking fourth on the team...Had a season-high 28 kills in a five-set match against Siena on October 21, 2023...Posted six double-doubles throughout the season, including a career-high 16 digs to go along with 27 kills and four total blocks against Marist on October 22, 2023...Appeared in 28 of 29 matches in 2024, starting in all 28...Led her team in kills (307) and kills per set (3.27) once again...Collected a career-high 40 service aces to rank first on her team, including five aces against Sacred Heart on September 28, 2024...Grabbed a career-high 29 kills against Morgan State on September 14, 2024...Also collected 14 digs against Morgan State, being one of nine double-doubles that she would collect throughout the season.

2022 Junior Year (Bradley)
Appeared in 14 matches ... Averaged 2.16 points/set, 1.94 kills/set ... Hit .158 ... Had a season-high 19 kills against Kansas City ... Two-time Athletic Director's Honor Roll student ... CEFCU Invitational All-Tournament Team.

2020-21 (Iowa Western)
Helped the Reivers to back-to-back NJCAA Division I national championships … NJCAA All-Tournament honors as a sophomore, averaging 2.83 kills per set for a team that finished 33-4 … First-Team NJCAA All-American following a freshman season in which she collected 3.31 kills per set and hit .280 for an Iowa Western team the went 26-3 … Landed on the NJCAA All-Tournament team as a freshman.

High School
Named Chilean MVP as a senior … Represented her School in the South American Tournament in Paraguay in 2014 ... Played in World School Championship in 2018 in the Czech Republic and 2016 in Serbia.

Personal
Attended Deutsche Schule Santiago in Chile (high school) and as well as Iowa Western Community College, Bradley University, and Manhattan before joining the Aggies…Bertens played for Club Manquehue in Chile from 2014-19...Played on the Chilean National Team from 2014- 2022…Won NJCAA Championships in 2020 and 2021 with Iowa Western…Fluent in Spanish, English & German...Mom Katja is German and dad Alfredo is Chilean...Parents are both geologists...Has one sister named Alina...Part of the Upsilon Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, Epsilon Sigma Pi, Sigma Iota Epsilon, and Chi Alpha Sigma at Manhattan...Named to the Deans List and All-Acadaemic Team's all three years at both Bradley and Manhattan...Currently interning in the Athletic Communications office at Manhattan University as a Sports Communications Assistant...Chose UC Davis because the volleyball program is highly competitve and the academics are excellent.
