The Short Story: After beginning the day with three straight losses in doubles, UC Davis women's tennis bounced back in the afternoon with a pair of singles wins to close out the Central Valley Clash on Sunday, Sept. 27.
 
COURTSIDE

• Yan finished the weekend nearly perfect with her fifth win in six opportunities.
• Rizvi finished second on the team with her fourth win of the weekend.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Starting the day in doubles, the pairs of Yu/Hu and Rizvi/Yan nearly pulled out wins, getting within one and two points respectively.
• Heading to the singles courts, Yan battled back from a one set deficit for another win.
• Rizvi swept her competition, giving the freshman valuable experience with her fourth win as an Aggie.

UP NEXT: The Aggies next fall competition will take place in Stanford at the ITA Regionals. The tournament will run from Oct. 8-12.
