LEXINGTON, KY — The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its 2026 Thirty Under 30 recipients on Wednesday, Mar. 11. UC Davis beach volleyball head coach
Ari Homayun was announced as one of the honorees for the College awards.
The Thirty Under 30 program recognizes up-and-coming coaches in different sectors of the sport who serve in a range of roles, from head coach to volunteer assistant to club director. Each of this year's recipients had to be age 30 or under as of Dec. 31, 2025, to qualify for the award.
Homayun, who remains Hawai'i's all-time leader in wins with 118, receives this award following a successful stint as head coach at CSUN, becoming the program's all-time winningest coach in 2025.
Arriving at UC Davis ahead of the 2026 season, Homayun picked up her first victory as an Aggie in a 3-2 win over Colorado Mesa on Feb. 21.

Following a week off from competition, UC Davis is back in action in Cal Poly for the Mustang Roundup from Mar. 13-14. Competition begins against Oregon on Friday, Mar. 13 at 12:45 p.m. PT and CSUN at 3:15 p.m. PT.
