  • Nya Epps led the scoring effort with 19 points, tying a career-high with four made three pointers.
  • Megan Norris was close behind with 17 points to go along with 12 rebounds for her 18th double-double of the season.

  • Ryann Bennett continues her double-digit scoring streak with 16 points on the game on five-of-seven (71%) shooting. This is her 25th time going for 10 or more in a game this season.
  • Tegan Young rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10.
WHAT HEAD COACH JENNIFER GROSS HAD TO SAY

"We knew it was gonna be a battle. I thought our team did a tremendous job in the fourth quarter in taking what we wanted rather than just what was available. We settled in and got some really high quality shots. Different people stepped up and knocked down shots, and I felt like our defense really carried us through to the end."

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Aggies were active from the three point line early, getting triples from Epps and Young to help give them an early 12-6 lead.
  • Fullerton responded with a couple of scores to get as close as two, but the home team ended the first quarter up 16-11.
  • Both teams began to go back and forth into the second period, with the Titans responding to each attack thrown by the Aggies.
  • Another three from Young put her team up double-digits, but an 8-2 run from Fullerton put them within four, 32-28, entering halftime.
  • Coming out of halftime, CSUF capitalized on a 7-0 run to take their first lead of the night.
  • Norris responded with a solo 6-1 run for her team to give them a slim 38-36 advantage.
  • Both teams continued to battle back and forth deep into the third quarter, with a pair of free throws from Bennett putting the Aggies within one, 51-52, heading into the final period of action.
  • Threes from Norris and Epps highlighted a 10-0 scoring run from Davis to begin the fourth quarter.
  • The Titans looked to respond with a pair of treys in the period, getting them within two with just seconds remaining in regulation.
  • But five made free throws from the Aggies made the difference as the team would go on to claim a 70-64 victory on their home floor.
UP NEXT: The Aggies remain at home for another rematch as they take on UC Riverside on Saturday, Feb. 21. The game is scheduled to tipoff at 2:00 p.m. PT and will be live on ESPN+ and KDVS 90.3.
