DAVIS, Calif. — Following a 2-0 start to conference play for UC Davis volleyball,
Ximena Cordero Barr has been named the Big West's Defensive Player of the Week.
In the Aggies' Big West opener against UC Riverside, Cordero Barr acted as the defensive anchor for the team, racking up a season-high 18 digs to help lead the team to a three-set sweep over the Highlanders.
On Saturday in Hawai'i, her excellent play continued as the Aggies won just their second-ever contest in the Aloha State. 16 digs from the libero marks the sixth time this season that she's collected 15+ digs in a contest.
