DAVIS, Calif. – UC Davis softball head coach Erin Thorpe announced on Monday, Aug. 11 the promotion of Jake Lively, adding the title of Recruiting Coordinator to the assistant coach's resume.
 
"I am extremely excited to announce the promotion of Coach Lively to our recruiting coordinator position," said Thorpe. "He has a strong background in prep player development and recruiting. Jake has a real passion for college softball and what UC Davis has to offer the collegiate softball student-athlete and he does a great job of showcasing that."
 
Lively joined the Aggie staff ahead of the 2023 season and has spent the past three years coaching the UC Davis infield. Since coming to Davis, nine Aggie infielders have earned Big West All-Conference honors and following the 2024 season Grace Kilday ranked 11th in the country and led the conference in caught stealing by.
