LEADING OFF

- Maia Scholtens made her second appearance of the day, giving the Aggies 1.1 innings of scoreless pitching over the final two frames

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Colorado State scored runs in the first, second and fifth to take a 5-0 lead over the opening five frames
- But the Aggies would not go away quietly and in the seventh they put the pressure on Colorado State
- Reeves, Phillips and Claire Shelton all singled to lead off the inning to quickly load the bases full of Aggies
- After one out was recorded, Alyssa Dethlefson drew a walk that scored Reeves from third and kept the bases loaded
- But after a pitching change by Colorado State, the next two Aggies would record outs, finishing the game and giving the Rams a 6-2 victory
