Ikemori, Maunupau, and Valentine Named to All-Conference Team

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Big West released its Women's Tennis All-Conference Team, with three Aggies, Mika Ikemori, Daisy Maunupau, and Solia Valentine, making the list on May 1.

Ikemori was named to the second team for singles, as well as the first team along with her partner Maunupau, for doubles. Valentine was given recognition on the honorable mention list for singles from the Big West.

Daisy Maunupau & Mika Ikemori - All-Big West First Team, Doubles

Maunupau and Ikemori are a new pairing this season, but fell into a good rhythm quickly. They are tied for the second-most wins in doubles throughout the Aggie lineup with an overall record of 10-5. Playing solely in the number one doubles spot, this pair helped the team clinch many doubles points throughout the season. Notably, in the first round of the Big West Championships, in their match against UC San Diego. This is Maunupau's first All-Big West Conference Team recognition.

Mika Ikemori - All-Big West Second Team, Singles

Ikemori repeated her success after landing on the All-Big West Second Team for singles and doubles just a season ago. She is the third leader in the number of singles wins on the season with an overall record of 10-11. Ikemori was named Big West Player of the Week this season after her number-one singles and doubles win against Oregon's nationally ranked players. Playing exclusively in the number one singles spot, Ikemori contributed to many wins for the Aggies all season.

Solia Valentine - All-Big West Honorable Mention

Newcomer Solia Valentine earned her starting spot and quickly became an essential part of the Aggie lineup. Starting at number two singles, Valentine is tied for the second-most number of wins in singles matches for the Aggies with an overall record of 10-14. As one of three seniors, she has contributed experience and support to the Aggies all season long.
