DAVIS, Calif. – The National College Equestrian Association (NCEA) has called upon five of our very own to earn this distinguished All-America honor for their incredible performances this season.
Graduate student
Margaret Franke elevates her previous second-team accolade on the Flat, making the All-America First team for the 2024-25 season. Also on the Flat train, collecting her first ever NCEA Ariat distinction is sophomore
Lauren Kolbe also being mentioned in the First team list.
Senior
Marin Gilliland earns the Honorable Mention nod on the Flat, making it three Aggies looped into that group. Fellow seniors
Kendall Lance and
Jessie Rechs were also named Honorable Mention, representing the strong graduating class and second placewinners in the ECAC conference. Rechs was names in the Fences list, while Lance leads the Ags on the Western end of the disciplines.
The Aggies had the third most first-team honors in the nation, collecting two. They also share the title of most award-winners with TCU and Texas A&M, all garnering a collective five honors total.
The top five riders per event were selected and named the Ariat First-Team All-America by the NCEA Selection Committee. The next five riders per event earned Second Team honors. Honorable Mention honorees were selected via the established criteria below.
There is no limit on how many riders receive this award, provided they meet the following criteria of having a 67 percent or higher winning percentage, excluding ties and competed in a minimum of 67% of team's NCEA qualifying regular season meets.
Perhaps the most difficult stat to achieve of all, the individual must have an adjusted NRS score of the following:
- 85 for flat
- 90 for fences
- 80 for horsemanship
- 75 for reining
