The short story: UC Davis women's tennis dominated UC Riverside with a commanding 7-0 victory, finishing on a high note with a perfect dual-match result to close out their Big West play for the season. 

COURTSIDE 

• The Aggies took the early lead, grabbing the doubles point. 

• Every Aggie grabbed a win in singles. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Aggies opened up the morning with doubles, where Claire Galerkin and Kaia Wolfe finished first, dominating their opponents for the first win of the match. 

• Next to finish was the pair of Daisy Maunupau and Mika Ikemori, who were unable to grab a doubles win. 

• Last to finish in doubles were Solia Valentine and Polina Marakhtanova. This pair won their match, clinching the early doubles point for the Ags. 

• On to singles, the first to finish was freshman Marakhtanova, who took down her opponent in two quick sets. 

• Another freshman Aggie would follow with Penelope Wong finishing next, grasping a two-set win as well. 

• Two more Aggies would follow as Valentine and Ikemori both won their matches in two sets against their Highlander opponents. 

• Senior Maunupau would grab the fifth win of the day as she took down her opponent in two sets. 

• Last to finish was junior transfer Maya Youssef, who took her match to a tiebreaker but came out on top to make the final score 7-0 for the Aggies.
