HOW IT HAPPENED

- Zach Story was hit by a pitch, advanced to third on a passed ball and a flyout, then scored on Alex Gouveia's sac fly to center
- Washington State capitalized on a wild pitch following Kyler Northrop's leadoff double, trimming the deficit to 2-1
- Story struck again, lacing a double to right field with one out in the bottom of the sixth
- After Evan Gentil's single and a subsequent wild pitch, Wooldridge delivered a bases-loaded walk that brought Story home
- In the eighth, the Aggies broke it open with three runs, extending the lead to 6-1
- Everet Johnson singled, Gouveia drew a walk, and Wooldridge loaded the bases with his third walk of the game
- Wolbert fired a two-out RBI single to left, scoring Johnson, and was followed by Jason Hanson's grounder—which was thrown away by Washington State's shortstop—allowing two unearned runs to score
- Mason Lerma closed the game with a scoreless ninth inning, recording one strikeout
