Sabel, Norris, Epps, and Bennett Named to Women’s Basketball All-Conference Team

IRVINE, Calif. - On Tuesday, Mar. 11, the Big West released their 2024-25 Women's Basketball All-Conference Team, with four Aggies, Tova Sabel, Megan Norris, Nya Epps, and Ryann Bennett making the cut. Sabel and Norris were named to the First and Second Teams respectively, Epps was tabbed to the All-Defensive Team and as an Honorable Mention, and Bennett ended up on the All-Freshman Team.

Tova Sabel - All-Big West First Team

After landing on the All-Big West Second Team a season ago, Sabel has taken a leap, making it onto the First Team for her senior season. In thirty starts this year, she leads the team in both minutes played with 30 and points per game with 15. This season has also been one of numerous milestones for Sabel, who has climbed her way to second place on the Aggies all-time three pointers list with over 200 and passed 1,500 career points against UC Irvine on March 6. Currently, she sits fifth on the Davis all-time scoring list with 1,522 points.

Megan Norris - All-Big West Second Team

Two years after being named the Big West Freshman of the Year, Norris has steadily improved to land on the conference Second Team this season. In 2024-25, Norris has found herself in the top 10 of many statistical categories in the conference, including scoring (10), rebounding (3), field goal percentage (1), and blocks (3). In a non-conference game against Santa Clara on November 24, Norris set a new career-high with 30 points in the Aggies' overtime victory over the Broncos.

Nya Epps - Big West All-Defensive Team, Honorable Mention

Now in her third season with the team, Epps earns her first Big West All-Conference awards after finishing second on the team in both steals and assists. Against San Diego State back on November 8, Epps produced her best offensive and defensive game of her career, going for a career-high 26 points on 11-of-14 (79%) shooting and five steals, also a career-high. Her season has also landed Epps in the top 25 in multiple categories across the conference, including 16th in assists and 25th in steals.

Ryann Bennett - Big West All-Freshman Team

Since joining the Aggies in the fall, Bennett has enjoyed success leading all bench players in points and assists per game and scoring in double digits seven times. In the team's regular-season finale against UC San Diego, Bennett had her best game, leading all scorers with a career-high 19 points on 7-of-9 (78%) shooting, leading Davis to a victory.
