The short story: UC Davis men's tennis triumphed over Saint Mary's 4-1, securing the doubles point and dominating in singles play to claim three more points, ultimately forcing Saint Mary's to leave several matches unfinished. 

COURTSIDE 

• Aggies took the early lead grabbing the doubles point.  

• Junior Lucas Bollinger defeated his opponent in two sets and is still undefeated in singles play. 

• Freshman Rithvik Katpelly defeated his opponent in three sets. 

• Sophomore Eduardo Gonzalez defeated his opponent in three sets. 

• Senior Sam De Vries and freshman Perry DiGiulio's matches went unfinished. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Aggies opened the morning with doubles. DeVries and Katpelly finished first, securing a quick doubles win for the team. 

• Next, to finish in doubles were Bollinger and freshman Kaveh Tageri who were unsuccessful against their opponent tying the doubles portion of the match. 

• Last to finish in doubles was the pair of Ivan Savkin and Ryan Torres who were able to win their match and secure the early doubles point for the team. 

• On to singles, Aggie Bollinger took down his Gael opponent in two dominating sets. 

• Next to finish was senior Torres, who lost his match in two sets giving the Gaels their first point of the match. 

• Gonzalez was next to finish and fought hard through three sets to take down his Saint Mary's opponent. 

•  Up 3-1, the Aggies just needed one more singles win to clinch the dual match. Freshman Katpelly was able to fight through three sets and win the match for the Aggies. 

• Senior Sam De Vries and freshman Perry DiGiulio's matches went unfinished since the Ags had already clinched the team win.
