NEW ORLEANS – Following the 2024 cross country season and the academic results from fall quarter, the U.S. Track and Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association has recognized the UC Davis cross country as part of the Academic Award winners.
Both the men's and women's cross-country teams were named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams. In order to qualify, the Ags maintained cumulative grade point averages above a 3.0 on the 4.0 scale.
The women's team ended up with a 3.449 GPA, while the men kept a 3.308 to register their team onto the list.
Women's cross country senior
Dani Barrett earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors individually, the second time she's earned the honor having gotten All-Academic honors in 2023.
To qualify for the All-Academic distinction, the individual must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 based on a 4.0 GPA scale, and finish in the top twenty-five (or ten percent) at the NCAA Regional Championships or as an All-American at the NCAA Championships.
Barrett is among 147 athletes in the entire nation to claim this award.
