DAVIS, Calif. – After a dominant performance in their 13–7 win over then-No. 5 TCU, Lauren Kolbe, Carmen Gonzalez, Eliza Plum, and Nicole Shroyer each earned Eastern College Athletic Conference Riders of the Week honors.
Kolbe earned the honors in Flat, while Gonzalez was recognized in Fences. Over on the Western side, Plum claimed the award in Horsemanship and Shroyer brought home the honor in Reining.
Kolbe turned in one of the most impressive rides of the day, scoring an 88 on Stallone in Flat to take both the point and MOP honors. Her score was the highest across all events in the meet, also leading Fences with an 84 and the highest score of the event.
Gonzalez picked up a key point in Fences, posting an 82 on Otis to contribute to UC Davis's early lead over the Horned Frogs. Her ride helped the Aggies secure a narrow win in the Jumping Seat event, assisting in the 3-2 win.
Plum delivered one of two event-high scores in Horsemanship, earning a 75 on Shylo to secure a point for UC Davis. Her ride helped the Aggies stay competitive in the round and was one of several strong Western performances on the day.
Shroyer closed out the meet with a 72 on Mr. T in Reining, the highest score of the event, helping the Aggies finish strong with a 4–1 win in the discipline and secure the program's first-ever victory over a top-5 opponent.
The Aggies hit the road to Georgia this weekend for a pair of matchups, taking on South Carolina and Georgia in back-to-back meets.
