DAVIS, Calif. – Former Aggie
Grace Pelkey has signed a professional contract with the Hunter Hurricanes giving UC Davis women's water polo another professional continuing her craft internationally.

The Hurricanes play in the Australian Waterpolo League and are based out of the Newcastle region in Australia.

Pelkey graduated in the spring, having earned 2024 Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches All-American honorable mention honors along with All-Big West second team honors.

The former Aggie turned in an impressive final campaign, finishing the 2024 season with 37 goals, 19 assists, 50 exclusions drawn, 45 steals and 29 field blocks. Her goals, points, steals totals led the team, while her field block total was the most in the conference by a substantial margin.

She tallied five hat tricks, all against top-25 ranked opponents, 10 games with multiple field blocks and 15 games with multiple steals. In her career she tallied 97 goals and 123 points.

Pelkey joins
Sophia Noble (Lille Métropole Water Polo),
Ally Clague (Real Canoe N.C.) and
Alyssa Lengtat (Waterpolo Club Natació Ruí) who all recently signed professional contracts across Europe.
