DAVIS, Calif. – 2024 Preseason Big Sky Offensive Player of the Year and FCS Preseason First Team All-American Lan Larison has been selected among the best four-plus year draft eligible players in the nation earning selection to the 2025 Shrine Bowl 1000 Watch list.
 
The Shrine Bowl 1000 is part of the East-West Shrine Bowl, where that group along with the help of college programs, NFL clubs and the Shrine Bowl's own scouting team put together a list to identify the best four-plus year draft eligible players.
 
The East-West Shrine Bowl is a best-in-class all-star event that this year will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on January 30, 2025. Players selected to play in the game will be coached by NFL coaches, in an NFL facility, and will have access to NFL-level resources, facilities, player-friendly schedules, and opportunities at the highest level.
 
Already named the top returning running back in the Football Championship Series by HERO Sports as part of their 2024 FCS season preview, Larison is one of nine Big Sky Conference student-athletes to be selected to the watch list.

Despite only playing in eight games due to injury, the Aggie running back finished 2023 with 1,101 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns, placing him among the nation's best. He finished ranked 12th in the nation in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns and his 15 total touchdowns put him eighth in the country.
 
He named to the 2023 Walter Payton Watch List and he earned FCS Football Central All-American First Team honors and Walter Camp Football Foundation All-American honors following the 2023 season. Larison was also named All-Big Sky Conference first team following a season where he led the conference in all-purpose yards (1,299), finished second in the league in rushing yards and third in rushing touchdowns.
 
UC Davis opens camp on July 30 with the first official practice set to get going on July 31. Camp is open to both fans and media, with more information on specific times and policies to follow soon.
