DAVIS, Calif. – UC Davis football put a bow on its spring practice putting on a show with a scrimmage during the final session of the spring session, showcasing the final bit of work put in over the past 15 practices over the month of April.
Â
"We have spent the past month working hard to improve on where we finished last season and I'm proud of the team and the time spent during the spring practices," said head coach
Tim Plough. "We entered the spring looking to find depth and give our guys a better idea of what their roles are, and we feel good about accomplishing that. We also feel good about coming out the spring healthy and I'd like to give Jeff Bourque credit for doing a great job getting the guys ready for this month of work."
In front of a large collection of fans, family and the Davis community, UC Davis put in one final day of spring practice work. The day was mainly spent running 11-on-11 work, with officials on the field the Aggies got one final shot at going full speed in game situations. All ranks of the Aggies got chances to make an impact, with a few highlight runs off the outside, deep balls that found their receivers and big plays from the Aggie defense. UC Davis made sure to also get individual work in, as positional battles are now poised to be settled during fall camp.

The Aggies can set their sights on the 2026 season and another deep run in the NCAA Football Championships Subdivision Playoffs.
