DAVIS, Calif. – After a 2023 season spent leading the Big Sky Conference tight ends in both receiving yards and touchdowns, UC Davis football senior tight end Josh Gale has been named the 12th-best returning tight end in the nation as part of HERO Sports 2024 Football Championship Series preview.
 
In 2023 Gale finished with a conference-high for tight ends 335 receiving yards and caught four touchdowns, also a conference-high for tight ends. He averaged 30.5 yards per game and set career highs in receiving yards and receptions, finishing with 26.
 
Gale sits among the nation's top 25 returning tight ends as ranked by HERO Sports. And Gale is the highest ranked returning tight end in the Big Sky, among tight ends who took a snap in the Big Sky during the 2023 season.
