DAVIS, Calif. — Grace Pelkey has been named as a 2024 Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Honorable Mention All-American, the association announced Thursday.

Pelkey turned in an impressive final campaign, finishing the 2024 season with 37 goals, 19 assists, 50 exclusions drawn, 45 steals and 29 field blocks. Her goals, points, steals totals led the team, while her field block total was the most in the conference by a substantial margin. The senior utility player from San Clemente, Calif. tallied five hat tricks, all against top-25 ranked opponents, 10 games with multiple field blocks and 15 games with multiple steals. Pelkey poured in five goals and added two assists in a thrilling overtime win against Big West rival UC San Diego, collected four steals and four field blocks in a conference game against UC Irvine, had six steals and two field blocks in a February matchup with Arizona State, and dished out five assists in the Aggies' second matchup against Cal. 

This is Pelkey's first ACWPC All-American honor. Earlier this month she was named to the All-Big West Second Team, and was named to the 2021 Big West All-Freshman team in her first season on campus.
