LAST WEEK
Megan Norris enjoyed her best night as an Aggie, scoring a career-high 22 points and grabbing a career-high 15 boards to power UC Davis to a huge 82-62 win over UC Santa Barbara on Thursday night. UC Davis' win was powered by a second quarter for the record books. The Aggies set a new program record for points in a quarter by scoring 35 points on an unbelievable 15-of-16 from the floor. This culminated in a 24-0 run that gave the hosts a 30-point lead at the half.

In Saturday's contest, it was nearly the opposite of Thursday as It was a defensive battle that saw UC Davis fall to Cal Poly 57-47. The Aggies struggled to hit shots from the perimeter, going just 4-of-23 (17.4%) from beyond the arc, which marks their worst three-point shooting performance of the season.

ABOUT THE TITANS
Cal State Fullerton has lost three straight contests heading into this week. In the last meeting, UC Davis held on for a 60-55 win in the University Credit Union Center.

ABOUT THE RAINBOW WAHINE
The reigning Big West Tournament Champions currently sit atop the conference standings with an impressive 9-2 record after their recent win over UC Irvine.
They bring the Big West's best defense (56.0 ppg) and a balanced scoring attack to the hardwood. The Rainbow Wahine are led by Lily Wahinekapu who averages a team-high 10.5 ppg.

SERIES NOTES
UC Davis snapped a two-game losing streak with their recent win over the Titans, extending their all-time series lead to 24-14.

SERVING IT UP
Sydney Burns has emerged into one of the conference's top point guards as she leads the Big West in assists (85) and assists-per-game (4.0). The Wilsonville, Ore. native is third in assist/turnover ratio (1.4).

MOVING UP THE RANKS
Last week, Evanne Turner ascended to fourth on the UC Davis all-time scoring list, passing both Jessica Campbell and Staci Stevens. The Fontana native has 1,480 points for her career and will look to further climb the ranks as third-place Sydnee Fipps is in her sights with 1,636 career points.

PRESEASON POLL
The UC Davis women's basketball team was picked to finish third in the league standings, and received three first-place votes according to a vote by the league's coaches.

Coming off of their impressive 2022-23 seasons, Evanne Turner and Tova Sabel were selected to the Big West Preseason Coaches' Team.

BAUGH JOINS COACHING STAFF
Former WNBA player and Sacramento native, Vicki Baugh, joins Jennifer Gross' staff as an assistant coach. The Sacramento native was a standout for the University of Tennessee, reaching the NCAA Tournament in all four of her playing seasons with the Lady Volunteers.

She won a national championship with the squad in the 2007-08 season before battling injuries for the next two years. Baugh battled back to enjoy an excellent end to her collegiate career, leading her team to back-to-back SEC titles and Elite Eight finishes in the NCAA Tournament. In her senior season, Baugh capped off her career in the college ranks by leading the Lady Vols in shooting percentage.

HOME IS WHERE THE WINS ARE
The Aggies are now 81-16 on their home floor over the past five-plus years, winning 35 of their last 44 and posting a winning record at home in each of the last nine campaigns.
