DAVIS, Calif. – UC Davis football continues to bolster its roster ahead of the 2024 season, welcoming six newcomers on National Signing Day, head coach Tim Plough announced on Wednesday morning.
 
"Recruiting is the life-blood of any program," Plough said. "Always thankful for the support we get from Rocko [DeLuca] and our administration to be able to go out and travel to find the best student-athletes that possess that UCDNA we look for. Our staff did a tremendous job this past month in identifying and closing on several players that we could add to the first haul we had back in December. I'm really excited to add this crew to Shredville and help them Find Joy every single day."
 
SIGNING DAY CENTRAL
 
The February NLI class is comprised off six California natives, including five incoming freshman and one transfer making way from nearby Cal. After 11 newcomers were inked during the early signing period, this class of six brings the total number of signees to 17 to join Plough's squad for his 2024 campaign.

Two running backs will join the team as Jalen Harris (Berkeley, CA) and Carter Vargas (Santa Maria, CA) look to provide depth to the Aggies' backfield.
 
Stacy Dobbins (Temecula, CA) comes to Davis from national powerhouse St. John Bosco HS, bringing some extreme quickness and precise route-running to the wideout position. He'll look to connect with fellow signee Caden Pinnick (Loomis, CA), a standout quarterback who prepped at local Del Oro HS.
 
Rounding out UC Davis' offensive additions is David Porotesano (Oceanside, CA), a three-star offensive tackle.
 
On the defensive side of the ball, Tyson McWilliams (San Diego, CA) follows his head coach from Cal. The cornerback will look to make an impact after spending four seasons with the Golden Bears.
