- UC Riverside took the third set, forcing a fourth set with a 25-18 win
- But the Aggies were up to the task, battling back from a slight deficit in the middle of the set and holding off UC Riverside at 22-22
- The final three points were locked up by the Aggies on the way to the win, and the final touches came on back-to-back kills by Light to shut the door on UC Riverside and win 25-22
- The fourth set victory locked up a 3-1 four-set win to put UC Davis back on the winning track
