HOW IT HAPPENED

The Aggies started strong by scoring in the first six minutes of the game from sophomore forward Katie Kim with an assist from senior midfielder Liselotte Koop.

UMASS responded in the second quarter with a goal of their own by junior forward Madison Leeper in the 22nd minute.

The River Hawks continued their momentum in the second quarter and scored two more goals, one by senior back Maxine Van Havere and the second by sophomore forward Karli Penrod.

UMASS would have another goal in the third quarter, Karli Penrod's second of the game in the 32nd minute.

UC Davis would have some good runs in the fourth quarter but were ultimately held off by the River Hawks to put them in the number sixth seed heading into the America East Championship Tournament.
