UC Davis Athletics

2024: Played and started in all 17 games... Recorded 14 total shots, 7 which were on goal... Scored two goals against Kent State (9/8) and Ball State (10/22)... Tallied 4 points for 783 total minutes played. 

2023: One of four Aggies to start in all 16 games... She had a total of 3 points on the season, one goal and one assist… Her assist came against Kent State (9/3) and her goal came against University at Albany (10/6)… On the season Richards tallied 12 shots, 6 of which were on goal. 

2022: Started and appeared in all 15 games, as a forward/ midfielder, for the Aggies… Richards had a total of nine points on the season, four goals and an assist… Her first goal came against Holy Cross (8/27) in the season opener, her second against UMass Lowell (9/18), and her final two-goals in a win against Bryant (10/7)... Richards lone assist on the year also came against Bryant (10/7)... On the season Richards tallied 16 shots, nine of which were on goal.

2021: Appeared in all 16 games for the Aggies logging one start against Liberty (8/27)… Highlight of the year came against Bellarmine on September 10th when she recorded two goals to help pace the Aggies to a 5-1 victory… Also notched an assist against Stanford (10/1).

2020-21: Will not lose a year of athletic eligibility due to the NCAA’s COVID-19 policy… ZAG FIELD HOCKEY/NFHCA DIVISION I NATIONAL ACADEMIC SQUAD… One of six players who finished tied for second with an assist… Competed in all 11 games… Scored her first goal as an Aggie when UC Davis hosted Stanford (4/9) in its home finale… Earned her first collegiate point when credited with an assist in her team’s spring 2021 opener vs. Cal (3/7)… Half of her eight shots were on cage… Posted a season-high three shots vs. Monmouth (4/17)… Recorded another season high when both of her two swings at Cal (3/12) were on goal. 

TEMECULA VALLEY HS ’20: Competed on her school’s field hockey and soccer teams… Named Rookie of the Year in 2017 and MVP in 2018… In 2019, she received All-Sunset League First Team honors… Named to the Principal’s Honor Roll and earned Scholar Athlete distinction all four years. 

PERSONAL: One of Laura and Scott’s four children… Drew, Dylan and Landon are her brothers… Loves to sew… Chose UC Davis because it provided her the best opportunity to compete at a high level and receive an elite-level education.
