The Short Story:  In a cutthroat game to determine the leader of the Big West Conference, the Aggies fall just short of a win against the No. 8 ranked UC Irvine Anteaters in a brutal battle.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

•  A super sprint and goal combo to start the game off strong is credited to sophomore Timothy Kerr
• Redshirt freshman Thomas Kiesling led the Aggies in goals with a hat trick,
• Graduate student Holden Neach was an all-around threat, adding a goal, assist, a drawn exclusion, and four steals for the Aggies
• Graduate student Aleix Aznar Beltran, redshirt senior Colin Nicholls, and Timothy Kerr all registered two goals apiece
• True freshman Gabe Bensen also unloaded an unassisted goal to the back of the net
• Redshirt senior Will Nomura drew four exclusions to give the Aggies the powerplay advantage
• Junior Frank Laptin defended the cage with six saves
