DAVIS, Calif. — Naomi Boegholm has been named this week's MPSF Female Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday afternoon.

Boegholm stood out at both of the Aggies' meets this weekend, picking up five first place finishes and three second place finishes in eight races. The freshman won the 200 yard medley relay (24.41 fly split), 50 free (23.68) and 400 free relay (51.83 split) against Cal Poly and the 100 free (50.91) and 200 free relay at the Saturday tri-meet with UC Santa Barbara and Cal Baptist. 

Boegholm had two second place finishes in the 100 fly (56.91 and 56.16) and was a member of the runner-up 200 medley relay team.

This is the first collegiate award for Boegholm and the second weekly award won by an Aggie this season, following Sophi MacKay's Female Athlete of the Week recognition in October.

Boegholm and the Aggies are back in competition this weekend, taking on Fresno State on Saturday, January 20 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fresno State Aquatics Center.
