DAVIS, Calif. – The UC Davis football gameday experience will be elevated this season and that will be noticeable the minute fans walk into UC Davis Health Stadium for the home opener against Southern Utah on Saturday.
The fan experience enhancement that will immediately stand out is the new sound system. The new system will provide better balanced sound, volume and clearer audio throughout the stadium.
Aesthetics will also be noticed in venue with new light pole banners surrounding the stadium, on the Bob Foster building and on nearby bike trails, tunnel branding and paint and the brand new padding around the field that celebrates the storied history of football and lacrosse. The media and working staff will also appreciate improvements in the press box that includes new seating.
Before entering UC Davis Health Stadium, fans will see a re-painted exterior and new signage at the ticket office.
Coming into the stadium will also be cheaper this season as the parking rates have been reduced.
When hungry or thirsty fans can enjoy several options, including Pull Up Plate Hawaiian BBQ, Mr. Pops, Woodstocks, the Coors Light Garden, Sudwerks and food trucks.
The Aggies kickoff at 7 p.m. against the Thunderbirds. The game can be seen on KQCA My58 and ESPN+. Fans can also listen on KHTK and the Varsity Network.
