Davis, Calif. — The UC Davis women's soccer program is excited to announce its 2023 schedule, with the Aggies opening their 18-match campaign at home on August 17.
Prior to the Aggies hosting Idaho State for the official opener on Thursday, Aug. 17, UC Davis will take action in two exhibition games. First at Cal on Aug. 6, and then one more tune up against Santa Clara who is set to visit Davis on Aug. 11. Last season the Aggies defeated the No. 5 ranked Santa Clara Broncos on the road for the program's first ever win over a ranked opponent in UC Davis history.
That match was just the beginning of a historic 2022 season, and in 2023, the Aggies will look to continue that momentum as they contend for a Big West Championship.
The Aggies have some intriguing non-conference matchups, most notably with Causeway rival Sacramento State on Aug. 20, as well as a journey to Lincoln, Nebraska to take on the Huskers from the Big 10 on Thursday, Sept. 7.

NON-CONFERENCE HOME GAMES
The Aggies will officially open the season against Idaho State, and then also hosts non-conference matchups against two WCC foes in the form of Saint Mary's (Aug. 24), and LMU (Sept. 3), before rounding out against Eastern Washington (Sept. 14).
NON-CONFERENCE ROAD GAMES
UC Davis will travel four times during the non-conference slate with the two aforementioned games against Sacramento State (Aug. 20), and Nebraska (Sept. 7) serving as the headliners. The other pair of road games during the non-conference stage will see the Aggies close out August with games against San Francisco (Aug. 27) and Portland (Aug. 31).

BIG WEST ROAD GAMES
The Aggies will open up Big West play on the road at CSUN (Sept. 21) and then head to CSU Bakersfield (Sept. 24) to close out the weekend. A trio of home games are sandwiched between the Aggies next couple of Big West road games which will take place at UC Riverside (Oct. 12), and Cal State Fullerton (Oct. 15). UC Davis will conclude the regular season slate with a road game at UC Irvine (Oct. 26), in what figures to be a game that will have big implications on Big West standings.
BIG WEST HOME GAMES
The Aggies first home game of Big West play will happen at then end of September as the Aggies will welcome Long Beach State (Sept. 28). This is the first of three consecutive home games for UC Davis as the Aggies will also have matchups against UC San Diego (Oct. 1) and Hawai'i (Oct. 8) to open up the new month. After a weekend in Southern California, the Aggies have a date scheduled with Cal Poly (Oct. 19) before hosting UC Santa Barbara (Oct. 22) for Senior Day to recognize the class of graduating seniors.
YEAR FIVE
After taking a trip to Costa Rica, the Aggies under the guidance of newly extended head coach Tracy Hamm, will surely have their eyes set on the 2023 Big West Championships which officially kick off on Sunday, Oct. 29, and conclude with victor being crowned on Sunday, Nov. 5. In year five of coach Hamm's tenure, the Aggies will look to improve on their 9-6-4 record from past season which saw them finish the regular season as the two seed in Big West standings.
