Men's Soccer Unveils 2023 Schedule

DAVIS, Calif. – UC Davis men's soccer has unveiled its schedule ahead of the 2023 season under Head Coach Dwayne Shaffer. This fall will feature nine home fixtures with seven taking place at Aggie Soccer Field and two under the lights at UC Davis Health Stadium.

After two exhibition matches to gain fitness, the Aggies fly to the Midwest for a pair of matches in Ohio to begin the 2023 campaign. The season opener will take place on Aug. 24 against Dayton before a marquee matchup against a talented Ohio State side on Aug. 27.
 
UC Davis will return to the Golden State to play host to Seattle on Sept. 3 before playing four straight games against West Coast Conference (WCC) opponents. The Aggies will make their way down to Los Angeles to play Loyola Marymount on Sept. 6 before wrapping up the weekend with a match on their home ground, facing Pacific on Sept. 14.
 
Three straight matches in Northern California will bring the non-conference schedule to a close as UC Davis battles San Francisco in the Bay Area on Sept. 14 before returning to Aggie Soccer Field for two Sunday matches (Sept. 17 and Sept. 24) to host St. Mary's and San Jose State.
 
Big West Conference action commences on the road when the Aggies take the pitch on Sept. 27 in San Luis Obispo to meet Cal Poly. Three more points are up for grabs on Sept. 30 at Cal State Fullerton before the conference home opener on Oct. 4 when UC Davis will play under the lights at UC Davis Health Stadium when UC Santa Barbara comes to town.
 
The Aggies make their way down to UC Irvine on Oct. 7 before a pair of home matches against CSUN (Oct. 11) and reigning Big West champions UC Riverside (Oct. 14).
 
The final road trip of the regular season starts on Oct. 18 at CSU Bakersfield and concludes on Oct. 21 at UC San Diego. The regular season finale will feature a matchup against Causeway Cup rivals Sacramento State, another game set to kickoff under the lights at UC Davis Health Stadium.
 
The Big West Conference Championships will take place Nov. 1-11, with the winner earning the automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.
