DAVIS, CALIF.– UC Davis beach volleyball junior Colleen McGuire and sophomore Kylie Miller were named to the All-Big West First-Team on Tuesday. In the 2023 season, the dynamic duo won 22 sets with only eight losses–for a new school-record of most pair victories in a season. Three of their wins were ranked victories against #20 Tulane, #13 Washington and  #11 Hawai'i.
 
At their respective second flight, the pair broke another school-record for most season dual victories at the number two spot with a dominant 20-5 record.
 
Individually, McGuire went 24-8 and broke the UC Davis record for most dual victories in a season. Miller, individually, had a season record of 22-10 which puts her in the second spot for most dual victories in a season. McGuire and Miller are just the second UC Davis pairing to earn a spot on the All-Big West First Team.
 
Additionally, the Aggie duo of senior Megan Luly and sophomore Mia Olen received a Big West Honorable Mention for their 2023 season. In 2023 the prodigious pair, had an overall record of 20-9, with ranked wins over #9 Cal Berkeley and #11 Hawai'i. At their respective third flight, the duo had a season record of 19-7. Individually both Luly and Olen won 20 sets that greatly contributed to the outcome of the team's season.
