The short story: UC Davis women's volleyball finished pool play at the Big West Championships, winning their first game against No. 4 CSUN 3-2 and losing to No. 1 Cal Poly 0-5, advancing into bracket play for tomorrow as the No. 2 seed in pool A. 

THE RALLY

• Against CSUN, the Aggies had a slow start with Kimi Waller and Alex Leal falling first to their opponents in two sets. 

• Skye Smolinski and Mia Olen earned the Ags a point by taking down their opponents in just two sets. 

• Kylie Miller and Tabitha Mitchell would follow, winning a two-set match. 

• Next to finish were Emily Uhrinak and Kendal Steller, who were unable to come out with a win, tying the score at 2-2. 

• Last to finish were the senior pair of Lindsay Heller and Kate O'Steen, who fought through a three-set battle and came out on top to win game one of the day. 

• The Aggies were unfortunately swept by the number one seed, Cal Poly, in their second game of the day. 

• The Aggies grasped the No. 2 seed in pool A for tomorrow's bracket play.
