Box Score RIVERSIDE, Calif. — The Aggies (12-6, 5-1 Big West) bounced back from their Friday defeat with a commanding 4-0 win over UC Riverside (6-15, 1-5 Big West) on Saturday morning. The win confirms UC Davis' place in the Big West top three, and the 5-1 conference record is a program best in its Big West history.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UC Davis jumped out to a quick 1-0 start in doubles competition behind excellent team play by duos Andrei Volgin and partner Mitchell Davis on court one, and court three pairing Lucas Bollinger and Coleton Hootman. 

Sam De Vries grabbed the first point in singles competition for the Aggies, quickly defeating his opponent 6-0, 6-2. 

Bollinger handled his first set 6-1, and grinded out a 7-5 second set win to give Davis a 3-0 lead. 

Brett Brinkman clinched the match in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2.

PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS
The win ensures the Aggies will fall no lower than the three seed in the Big West, and allows the Aggies a strong chance at the number two seed. If UC Santa Barbara loses on Sunday to UC Irvine, the Aggies will secure the second seed in the conference, and a bye in the Big West quarterfinals. If UC Santa Barbara defeats Irvine, there will be a three-way tie for first place between the Aggies, Gauchos, and Anteaters.
