Aggies Claim Third Straight Win

Davis, Calif.– The UC Davis Women's Lacrosse team claimed their largest win since 2010, with a 19-1 victory over Howard University.
 
The Aggies (3-1) started off with three quick goals before the Bison's scored their only point of the contest. After, UC Davis went on a 16-0 scoring run lasting throughout the rest of the game. The Ags had 40 shots, 26 of which were on goal, in their impressive offensive showcase.
In comparison Howard tallied nine shots and five on goal.
 
Rhea Cosand and Lauren Hart scooped up a team-high of three ground balls each enroute to UC Davis' 14 in contrast to the Bison's nine.
 
Grace Gebhardt put on a show with a four goal hat-trick off four shots and an assist. The sophomore tallied five-total points in the win.
 
The Ags had considerable performances from Alannah Scott, who posted three goals and Annie Cimperman with a trifecta of goals, accompanied by a pair of assists.
 
How It Happened
 
UC Davis jumped out to a 3-0 lead with goals from Lauren Hart, Alex Agnew, and Mia Lawrence
 
Howard would answer back with a score of their own, cutting the lead 3-1 with six-minutes left in the first quarter. However, it would be their only score of the contest.

In the second quarter, the Aggies filled the goal post with seven scores, their highest scoring quarter of the year. Starting with a pair of scores from Alannah Scott, goals from Alex Agnew, Regan Arkless, Natalie Markman, Grace Gebhard, and Lauren Hart would close out the incredible scoring quarter.
 
UC Davis was in the driver's seat for the rest of the contest. With 16-unanswered points, kept Howard scoreless for three-quarters and managed possessions with a 16-6 advantage on draw-controls. The Ags secured the win over the Bisons.
