Box Score DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis had no problems dealing with the visiting Cal Poly Mustangs (4-8, 0-1 Big West), dispatching them, 5-2, Friday afternoon at the Marya Welch Tennis Center. The win is the Aggies' eighth of the season, and leaves them undefeated in Big West conference play.

UC Davis picked up the first point of the match in doubles play, with wins from the Andrei Volgin/Mitchell Davis and Brett Brinkman/Andras Necz duos. 

Noah Berry helped guide the visitors to two quick singles victories and a 2-1 lead. Berry is now 8-2 for the season in singles matches.

That was the last of the success for the Mustangs on the day, as Brett Brinkman handled his opponent and Lucas Bollinger and Sam De Vries gutted out match victories to flip the contest 4-2 in Davis' favor. 

Constantinos Djakouris tacked on the final point of the match for the Aggies with a hard fought three set win.

NEXT UP
The Aggies (8-5, 2-0 Big West) travel to the East Bay to take on Saint Mary's College on Thursday at 2 p.m. The two teams were scheduled to face off in mid-March, but the match was rained out. The Gaels are 3-9 so far on the season.
