Aggies Beaten By Wolfpack in Reno

Box Score RENO, Nev. — The UC Davis men's tennis team fell to the University of Nevada, Reno, 4-3, Monday night at the McArthur Tennis Center.

Brett Brinkman and Andras Necz got UC Davis (7-5, 1-0 Big West) off to a good start with a win in the first doubles matchup, but Nevada (7-5, 1-0 Mountain West) came back and won the next two doubles matches to earn the Wolfpack the opening point of the contest.

That point proved to be the match's deciding factor, as each team gained three points in singles play.

Ryan Torres and Constantinos Djakouris turned in convincing straight set victories to knot the contest at 2-2.

By the time Andrei Volgin tacked on another point for the Aggies, Nevada had clinched the match with wins on courts four and five.

NEXT UP
The Aggies return home to the Marya Welch Tennis Center to host the Cal Poly Mustangs (4-7, 0-0) this Friday at noon for a Big West conference clash.
