MPSF HONORS ANNOUNCED
The Aggies were well represented on the annual MPSF end of season awards.
Tanya Ho was named Head Coach of the Year and
Amelia Moneymaker garnered Freshman of the Tear honors. The Ags earned 18 conference accolades that included 10 first-team selections.
LAST WEEK
The Aggies traveled to Berkeley for their final regular season meet. The Aggies defeated Sacramento State 196.425-194.875 but fell to Cal (198.275-196.425) and Arizona (196.525-196.425).
HISTORY LESSON
The Aggies have finished in the top three in the last 17 MPSF championships. The Aggies have won six MPSF championships (2008, 2010-2013, 2015). The Aggies enter the meet as the No. 2 seed. The Ags boast the highest Team NQS in the vault and floor in the conference.
ABRAHAM, RAY EARN WEEKLY HONORS
Keanna Abraham and
Megan Ray earned weekly honors from the MPSF. The Aggies have accrued nine weekly honors this season. This week's honor is Abraham's third of the season and Ray's second.
Abraham was named Gymnast of the Week after scoring a 9.80 or above in all three events she participated in. Her high score of the meet was on the floor exercise where she scored 9.90.
Ray earned Specialist of the Week after equaling the Aggie record (9.925) in the vault that was set earlier this season by Abraham. She also posted a 9.90 on the floor and 9.80 on the beam.
