DAVIS, Calif. – UC Davis saw its Senior Day spoiled when Cal State Bakersfield grabbed a four-set victory (25-21, 20-25, 25-19, 25-19) on Saturday afternoon inside the University Credit Union Center.
The Aggies return to .500 after falling to 13-13 overall (8-8 Big West) and conclude the season at 2-7 on their home court. The Roadrunners improve to 8-20 (4-12 Big West) and win their second straight contest.
"I'm very happy for our seniors," said Head Coach
Dan Conners. "They've had wonderful careers here at UC Davis and we appreciate all of their contributions. We're saddened that they're going to be leaving but we appreciate them as people and we know that they're going to go on to do great things."
Prior to first serve, Shkhinah Tindsey,
Casi Newman, and
Amara Aimufua were honored for their hard work and dedication to the UC Davis volleyball program.
The Aggies struggled offensively, hitting just .172 as a team while committing 21 attack errors and nine service errors.
Olivia Utterback was the only Aggie to finish in double figures, racking up 11 kills and 12 digs in her double-double performance.
Megan Lenn came up just one kill shy of a double-double in her nine-kill, 10-dig showing.
At the setter position,
Mia Starr earned her fourth double-double of the year with her 18 assists and 16 digs.

The Ags head back on the road to start the final week of the regular season when they head to UC Santa Barbara on Nov. 17. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
